In Bangkok, Thailand, the FIVB Development Center is hosting the AVC Volleyball Federation Management Course, with participation from 16 candidates across 11 National Federations. This seminar, spanning December 12 to 15, is spearheaded by Mr. Shanrit Wongprasert, the Asian Volleyball Confederation’s Honorary Life Vice President and Executive Director, who is renowned for his vast experience in volleyball management. The inauguration of this four-day event was led by Mr. Somporn Chaibangyang, President of the Thailand Volleyball Association.
The AVC Volleyball Federation Management Course, also attended by Mr. Songsak Chareonpong and Mr. Issara Riddhisinha, saw participants from various countries including the UAE, Mongolia, and Singapore. Notable attendees included TVA Secretary General Mr. Nattapong Kesapan and Mr. Raditia Rahmat Darwis. In his welcome speech, TVA President Mr. Somporn highlighted Mr. Shanrit’s induction into the International Volleyball Hall of Fame.
“I would like to welcome all candidates from 11 National Federations to the AVC Volleyball Federation Management Course at the FIVB Development Center here in Bangkok. With the help of this course, all candidates will get better when performing your daily tasks in your Federations. I also strongly hope that all of you will have an excellent opportunity to learn some new management and organising skills under the guidance of Course Instructor Mr Shanrit Wongprasert. After this course, I believe, all candidates will return with an extensive knowledge of event management as well as plenty of ideas to implement once you take up the challenge of organising an international volleyball competition,” said Mr Somporn.
“And I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mr Shanrit on his success in the recent International Volleyball Hall of Fame in Massachusetts,” he concluded.
Among the topics covered by the course are information on the AVC, FIVB, National Federations, development strategies, sports marketing, event advertising, sponsorship, live streaming, entertainment activities, and information about the role of national federations.
