Somporn Leads SAVA: SE Asia Volleyball’s Bright Future

Following the re-election of Somporn Chaibangyang as President of the Southeast Asia Volleyball Association (SAVA), the annual meeting in Bangkok showcased a broad agenda and diverse participation, highlighting the region’s commitment to volleyball’s growth. The meeting was attended by key figures from various Southeast Asian countries, including vice presidents, executive directors, and treasurers, representing the unified effort towards advancing volleyball in the region. Guests of honor from the FIVB shared insights into global volleyball developments and projects aimed at empowering the sport worldwide.

The assembly reflected on the successful organization of volleyball and beach volleyball events in 2023, acknowledging the significant progress made by Southeast Asian teams. AVC President Rita Subowo praised the rapid organizational and competitive growth within SAVA, urging continuous development to maintain the region’s standing in Asian volleyball.
